Burial Ground
burial Prior to construction of the Town Hall which began in 1869, most of the graves were moved to other cemeteries. Those remaining have been progressively uncovered over the years.

These pictures were taken during January 2008, on the lower ground floor of the Town Hall while an archaeological study was underway.

The remains of adult and infant graves can be seen.
