The Supply was the first ship to reach Botany Bay on 18/1/1788 and anchored on the northern side of the Bay, followed by the Alexander, Scarborough and Friendship, which arrived the next morning. The remainder of the First Fleet arrived on the 20/1/1788.

The First Fleet carried approximately 1350 men, women and
children to Australia. The actual number cannot be determined from the available
records.
